Water Therapy And Acne

One of the trickiest things to maintain when you have acne is the balance in your gut. Holistically, when the gut is clean, nutrients and vitamins can reach the skin to maintain its health. Supplements cannot reach the skin when they are already tapped  into doing antioxidant activity because the body is experiencing an acidic gut. The best acne treatments have to be all-encompassing, and that includes gut health.

One of the most effective ways to cleanse the gut is to cleanse it with water. Water therapy is a proven medical treatment for colds and other immune system illnesses – because it has the natural power to cleanse everything – when done correctly.

Here is what you should do when undergoing a water therapy for acne.

Drink Your weight.

Or at least ¾ of it. When undergoing water therapy, you should firstly know how much you weigh. The body is made up of 75 percent water. The standard 8-10 glasses per day may not stand true for everybody. However, a safe bet is to start at three liters minimum.

Drink at least one to 1 and a half liters in the first four hours of the day.

Upon waking up, you should gulp at most half of your water dosage in the first four hours. This is to signal the body that it is under a detoxification process. You can also add drops of lemon to your water and drink it thirty minutes before meals. Tap water mixed with pure lemon juice is extremely good for the skin.

Maintain the habit for at least three months.

For the first three months maintain your intake of water  the way your weight intended it to be. This is to ensure that the detoxification process will be completed. Slowly drop your intake after the third month by half a liter until your body can function properly at the 8-10 glass mark.
